Everything You Need To Know About Facial Laser Hair Removal

We’re here to help you learn everything you need to know about laser hair removal so you can get rid of your facial hair for good.

Q: How painful are the treatments?

A: During your treatments, laser technicians will change the settings of the laser to help you get the best results.

During the first few treatments, the laser will be less powerful, so there will be almost no pain. It feels like being poked with a pin. Most of the time, the pain doesn’t last long and goes away almost immediately after the laser pulse.

As the treatments go on, the laser will get stronger, and the pain will get worse. At its worst, the pain is like being snapped by a rubber band. Bergen County Hair Removal has bought machines called Zimmers that constantly blow sub-zero air on the treatment area. This helps numb the area before the pulse and cool the area after.

If pain is a big problem for you, you can buy numbing cream that contains Lidocaine and makes you much less sensitive to pain.

Q: How well do the treatments work?

A: Ease of use Depending on the type of skin you have, Laser uses either a Candela Gentlemax Pro or a Candela ND:Yag laser. These lasers are some of the best on the market, and they work very well on all types and shades of skin. They have been approved by the FDA and can get rid of unwanted hair for good.

With each treatment, these lasers can permanently slow hair growth by 10–30% for each client. Even though these lasers are very advanced, they don’t work well on people with lighter facial hair. People with blonde, red, or gray facial hair may see less hair growth, but it is unlikely that they will see more than a 30% reduction in hair growth overall.

Q: Will the effects last?

A: Yes, Bergen County Hair Removal’s lasers permanently get rid of unwanted facial hair by destroying the hair follicle and root, which stops hair from growing back.

What do I need to do to get ready for my treatments?

A: The best way to get ready for your treatments is to stay out of the sun for 7 days before them. This means that you should wear sunscreen and try to stay out of the sun as much as possible. You should also avoid any physical activity that raises your body temperature for at least 2 hours before your appointments. If you are taking any prescription drugs, you should check with your doctor to see if they can make you more sensitive to the sun. Check out our pre- and post-care instructions for a full list of everything you can do to get ready for your treatments.

Q: Do I have to shave my facial hair, and if I do, won’t that make it grow back thicker and darker?

A: Unfortunately, in order to get ready for your laser treatment, you do need to shave your face. This is because the laser needs to be able to destroy the hair follicle and root. This is why waxing, tweezing, and epilating are not allowed. We also want as little hair as possible to be above the skin, because hair above the skin makes the chance of a bad reaction much higher. Shaving is the only way to get rid of facial hair that meets all of these requirements.

It’s a myth that shaving makes facial hair grow back thicker and darker. People think that hair is growing in thicker because shaving cuts the hair in the middle. When the rest of the hair grows out, it is the thicker, darker part of the hair follicle that was already there under the skin.

Q: How long will the meeting take?

A: Appointments for hair removal on the face take between 5 and 10 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Q: What happens when the treatment is over?

A: Most people will feel a little red and swollen after the treatment, like they do when they get a mild sunburn. This usually goes away soon after the treatment, but it can last up to 72 hours. You can use creams like Bergen County Hair Removal’s restorative gel, aloe, calamine, or hydrocortisone to help reduce the swelling.

After a few days, the hair on your face may start to fall out, or shed. If you shave often, you might not even notice the hair falling out. If you scrub the area 12 hours or more after your appointment, the hair will fall out faster and you won’t get ingrown hairs.

Q: What can I do to make sure the treatments work as well as possible?

A: The best way to get the most out of your treatments is to follow the instructions for before and after care, as well as any special instructions from your laser technician.

Make sure to keep your laser technician updated on how your body is responding to the treatments and how your facial hair is growing. This will help them decide how to change your settings and how long you should wait between treatments so that all of your treatments are as effective as possible.

Q: What possible side effects could the treatments have?

A: Laser hair removal treatments rarely cause side effects, but if they do, they can permanently change the color of the skin if they are dnot taken care of properly. If you have side effects like hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation, redness or swelling that lasts for a long time, a histamine reaction, or blistering, you should call or come in to find out how to treat them.

Most of the time, people get these side effects because they didn’t tell their doctor about time they spent in the sun before their appointments. If you tell your laser technician everything, your chances of having a bad reaction to the treatments go down by a lot.
